HireVento ("we", "us", "our") is a job platform operated from Guwahati, Assam, India, serving job seekers and employers across Northeast India. Our website is accessible at www.HireVento.in.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use HireVento:

Account information: Name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash — we never store your plain password)
Profile information: Avatar/profile photo you upload voluntarily
Activity data: Jobs you save, likes you give, comments you post
Contact form submissions: Name, email, and message when you contact us
Technical data: Browser type, IP address, pages visited — collected automatically for security and performance

We do not collect payment information, government ID, or sensitive personal data.

3. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account
To show you relevant job listings based on your activity
To send notifications about jobs or responses to your comments (only if you have an account)
To improve the platform and fix bugs
To respond to your support or contact requests
To prevent fraud, spam, and fake listings

4. We Never Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with any third party for their marketing purposes. Ever. Your data is used only to operate and improve HireVento.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secured servers. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt — even we cannot see your password. We use standard security practices including HTTPS, prepared SQL statements to prevent injection, and access controls on our database.

However, no system is 100% secure. If we ever detect a data breach that affects your account, we will notify you by email within 72 hours.

6. Cookies

HireVento uses only essential session cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies at this time.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of any inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and all associated data
Withdraw consent for any optional data collection

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal information is removed within 30 days. Job posts you commented on may retain anonymised activity data (comment count) but your name and email will be removed.

9. Third-Party Links

Job listings on HireVento may include contact details or links to employer websites. Once you leave HireVento, this Privacy Policy no longer applies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external websites or employers.

10. Children's Privacy

HireVento is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will remove it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of HireVento after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
